Young Aviators

LAA Oxford's Young Aviators

The group has, for many years supported the LAA Young Aviators programme having organised events from both Hinton in the Hedges and Oxford Airport as well as lending our support to other LAA branches and groups.

However, our youngsters have often come from a different background to those flown by other LAA Struts and Groups. For the Oxford Group has frequently flown children who are severely physically disadvantaged, terminally ill or those who spend a significant part of their lives as carers for sick or disabled parents. Without exception these have been the most enjoyable flying hours many of us have ever spent. Just having the privilege of meeting and sharing time with these children and their parents has been so very rewarding
